📍 Location: Behind an anonymous entrance and up an unassuming staircase, you’ll find a small piece of Mexico in central Oslo. @lamayorrestaurant serves authentic Mexican dinner and Saturday brunches from 12:00.

😋 Food: We had the set menu with Huevos Rancheros (corn tortilla, fried eggs, salsa, beans, seared pork belly and fresh cheese), sweet tamales and and a Chilaquiles Verdes (totopos chips, spicy tomatillo salsa, sour cream and fresh cheese). It was great! ☕️ Coffee: The black coffee was uneventful, but they serve some Mexican hot drinks, such as cacao horchata (rice milk, coconut, cinnamon and cacao) and champurrado (a thick corn flour based drink with cacao and cinnamon). They work with a cacao family farm who has produced cacao for 200 years with a biodiverse farm. Try them! 💸 Value: ~650 kr for two mains, one dessert to share, two hot drinks and two coffees.

They also sell some imported cacao products from their partner farm. We bought a hot chocolate with chili drink powder and a spicy cacao snack.
