Vivood Landscape Hotel

A modern hotel situated 1 hour drive outside Alicante in the mountains by Guadalest. Every room is its own cabin with a window spanning wall to wall and ceiling to floor, even the shower. Wake up to the sunrise over the mountains on the other side of the reservoir.

The restaurant had a great menu. Some highlights:

• Ceviche appetizer
• Grilled Iberico ham
• Sea bass
• Carob cake with diplomatic cream — a bean type fruit that reminds of chocolate, and "popping cream"
• Millefeuille with coconut cream, berries and caramel — a flakey dessert
• Cheesecake

The hotel also had a pretty cool spa.
