๐ŸŒ Origin: Peruvian cuisine is the fusion of indigenous Peruvian cultures, Spanish, Arab/Moorish, African, Japanese and Chinese influences. The result; ceviche โ€” raw fish marinated in โ€œtigerโ€™s milkโ€ (citrus juice, spices, herbs, onions and chili). And; Lomo Saltado โ€” stir-fried soya sauce marinated beef strips with onions, fried potato chips and steamed rice, a so called โ€œchifaโ€ dish. As well as; cancha โ€” a fried large corn kernel thatโ€™s crispy and salty. Often served as a snack.

๐Ÿ˜‹ Location: @aymara_restaurant has since 2014 been serving Peruvian dishes with local Norwegian ingredients in Parkveien.

They have an a la carte menu, a Nikkei-inspired tasting menu (Japanese influenced), as well as a sushi menu. They even offer take away!

We visited on 14th February 2023.

๐Ÿน Drinks: Chicha Morada is a typical Peruvian non-alcoholic drink made of purple corn, fruits (pineapples, apples), spices (cinnamon, orange zest, clove) and lime. Highly recommended!

๐Ÿ’ธ Value: ~1500 kr for two tasting menus and drinks by the glass.
